1. Who we are; acceptance
These terms govern editorial analysis services (“Services”) provided by [Legal entity name — e.g., Threadright LLC] (“Threadright,” “we”), located in [City, State], to the person ordering the Services (“you,” the “Author”). Placing an order, submitting a manuscript, or paying an invoice constitutes acceptance of these terms.
2. The Services
Threadright produces written editorial analysis reports on fiction manuscripts, as described on our order page at the time of purchase. Each report presents findings ranked by severity, with quoted passages and chapter and line citations from your manuscript.
How your report is made: our analysis uses proprietary analytical frameworks executed with the assistance of AI language models, combined with mechanical verification tooling and human editorial review. On continuity and redundancy products, quoted evidence is additionally verified against your manuscript text by deterministic software.
3. Ordering, payment, and turnaround
Prices are as listed at the time of order and are payable in advance. Standard turnaround is 72 hours from our written confirmation that we have received a readable manuscript and completed intake; 48-hour rush is available for a 50% surcharge. If we cannot meet a committed turnaround, we will notify you and you may elect a full refund or continued service.
4. Your representations
You represent that you are at least 18; that you own or control the rights in the manuscript you submit; that the manuscript contains no material you are obligated to keep confidential from third parties; and that your contact and payment information is accurate.
5. Intellectual property
Your manuscript remains entirely yours — nothing here transfers any right in your manuscript or story to us. Upon payment in full, your report (and any accompanying data files prepared for you) is assigned to you for any use. Threadright retains all rights in its methodologies, software, prompts, templates, and report formats.
6. Confidentiality and manuscript handling
Your manuscript is used only to produce your deliverables. It is never used to train AI models — not by us, and not by our AI provider, whose commercial terms prohibit training on customer inputs. Files are stored encrypted with access limited to the operator, and are permanently deleted [30] days after final delivery, or sooner on your written request. We retain deliverables, intake records, and correspondence as business records.
7. The accuracy guarantee
If a top-severity (STRONG) finding in your report is shown to be factually wrong, the report is free. “Factually wrong” means the finding’s quoted evidence does not appear in the manuscript you submitted, or the finding’s stated contradiction misstates what the quoted passages say. Claim by email within 14 days of delivery, identifying the finding and the passage that disproves it; substantiated claims are refunded in full within 5 business days of review. The guarantee does not extend to matters of editorial judgment on fairly-quoted text, to findings below STRONG severity, or to manuscript versions other than the one submitted. It is your sole and exclusive remedy for asserted report inaccuracies.
8. Refunds and cancellation
Full refund any time before analysis begins; half refund on request after analysis has begun but before delivery; after delivery, refunds are available under the accuracy guarantee. Rush surcharges are non-refundable once rush work has begun. Orders we decline are refunded in full.
9. Disclaimers
Reports are professional editorial opinion and decision support. We do not guarantee publication, representation, sales, reviews, or any third party’s response to your work. Reports are not legal advice and are not a legal review of your manuscript. Except as expressly stated here, the Services are provided “as is.”
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the Services giving rise to the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of literary or commercial reputation.
11. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Threadright against third-party claims arising from materials you submit, except to the extent caused by our breach of these terms.
12. Service providers
We use third-party processors: Anthropic (AI analysis via commercial API under no-training terms), [Stripe] (payments — we never see or store full card numbers), and [hosting/email/storage providers]. The current list appears in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [State]. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days of written notice; unresolved disputes shall be brought in the courts of [County, State].
